Awakened: Why I Created The Sol Boutique

In April of 2016, my life as I knew it shattered. I lost my brother in a tragic and unexpected way. He wasn't just my sibling — he was my soulmate. My protector. My confidant. My light. He had a smile that could soften the hardest heart, a laugh that echoed warmth, and a soul so pure, so gentle, it made you believe in good again.
When he left, everything in me broke.
That first night was a living hell. I felt like my body was being attacked by the weight of my grief — like something invisible was beating me from the inside out. My brain, in an effort to cope with what had happened, went into shock. I was breathing, but I couldn’t breathe. I was awake, but I couldn’t see. Everything turned black.
The next day? A blur. A void. I don’t remember anything except relying on my husband, at the time, just to exist. I couldn’t move. I couldn’t eat. I couldn’t function. And that night, as I sat frozen in the living room, something unexplainable happened.
I slipped into what felt like a trance.
And in that stillness… he came to me.
His body glowed in golden light. His eyes were filled with peace and love. He looked weightless — like a breeze could carry him. And then he reached out his hand, gently touched my face, and in that instant, I felt something I had never felt in my entire life: a warmth that pulsed with unconditional love. An embrace that healed something inside me.
He said, “Gera, I am okay. I am okay.”
Tears streamed down my face. My body shook under the weight of it all. It was so powerful, it pulled me out of the trance. I tried desperately to fall back asleep — to see him again, to follow him, to go wherever he was going. But I couldn’t. And deep down… I knew it wasn’t my time.
That was the night that changed everything. The moment that planted a seed.
And so began my journey.
I became obsessed with reconnecting to that moment — to that feeling. I needed to see him again. I needed answers. I needed peace. But nothing worked. Not for months.
Until I met Danielle — a medium who knew nothing about me… but knew everything about him.
She told me things that no one else knew, things I had buried so deep I forgot they existed. She told me something I always suspected but never fully claimed — I was born with spiritual gifts. I used to see spirits as a child, but trauma had clouded my ability to access that realm.
And so I began the hardest, most sacred journey of all — the journey of healing.
Today, I walk in my purpose. I help others reconnect with their loved ones, just as I longed to reconnect with mine. I help people reconnect with themselves. I hold space for their pain, their longing, their healing, and their transformation.
Grief is heavy, but spirit is eternal. And love… true love… never dies.
This is why I created The Sol Boutique.
It’s not a business. It’s not a brand.
It’s a way of life.
The Sol Boutique is my soul’s work — a sacred space to help people care for their spirit. Because in this modern world, true spirituality is fading. And yet it is the most important thing we will ever carry. Despite beliefs or religion, most of us agree on one thing: we have a spirit. So why are we not caring for it?
Through ancestral altar services, spiritual education, sacred tools, and healing rituals — I help people come back home to themselves and to those they’ve lost.
This isn’t about death. This is about life. This is about legacy. This is about love that transcends worlds.
My mission is far from over. I won’t stop until I’ve walked every soul that’s guided to me into a deeper connection with their spiritual essence.
One day, when I take my next step into the afterlife, I will become a Spirit Guide — just like my brother became mine. I will walk with my daughters. I will protect my grandchildren. I will be their light, their whisper, their warmth in the night.
And I will smile… knowing I fulfilled my mission.
If you are grieving, searching, or feeling disconnected from your spirit, I invite you to reach out. I created The Sol Boutique for you. You don’t have to walk this journey alone.
Let’s find your light together.
With love and light ,Lola Founder of The Sol Boutique
